Northern Karate School
) was founded in 1972 and opened their Richmond Hill location in 1997. They have 10 schools
in the GTA where over 8000 men and women
, ages 3 - 70+, enjoy the benefits of martial arts
Every year, Northern Karate Richmond Hill runs a kids friendship tournament in honour of Brooke, an NKS black belt, who passed away in 2006 of leukemia.
Yearly, more than 300 children
between the ages of 4 – 12
, along with their families and friends, come to battle it out on the mats. All contestants receive a trophy after their tough matches and are recognized with medals
for their achievements in individual categories
The money we raise from the tournament goes to Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada.
Last year, through the tournament, we were able to donate in excess of $20,000 and this year, with your help, we are hoping to exceed that amount and raise at least $25,000 on May 5, 2018.
We are hoping that you could provide us with support for this very worthwhile cause
There are three ways you can help us:
Support us with the tournament itself helping us cover the cost of trophies, medals, or the cost of overhead at our venue, etc., by becoming a Sponsor
Support a tournament participant! Participants have the opportunity to personally fundraise for Starlight. To support a participant in their fundraising efforts, find their name on our "Support a Participant
Donate to Starlight directly, in honour of Brooke Brunetta. Contributions can be made HERE
*Please note that a donation to this page, will NOT be added on to a participant's overall personal fundraising efforts.
Any support that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
If you would like to support us with the tournament or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at Northern Karate Richmond Hill, (905) 508-5811 or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
